Virtual Drive Mobile App Privacy Notice

This notice describes how Virtual Drive Management LLC (“Virtual Drive,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use the Virtual Drive mobile application. It supplements our general website privacy policy.
Information the app handles
- Account information: the username or email you enter to sign in and the account identifier returned by our learning platform.
- Learning information: enrolled courses, lesson and topic availability, progress, quiz activity, and certificate availability maintained by WordPress and LearnDash.
- Device and security information: device platform, an app-generated device identifier, app version, and short-lived authentication and launch tokens used to protect access.
- On-device information: video resume position and Class C practice-test activity stored on your device.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, provide your courses and videos, preserve learning progress, display available certificates, secure the service, troubleshoot problems, and respond to support requests.
Payments, advertising, and tracking
The mobile app does not accept payments or offer in-app purchases. Purchases, if any, occur on Virtual Drive’s website. The mobile app does not include third-party advertising or behavioral advertising.
Service providers
We use service providers to host the website and learning platform and to deliver protected streaming video. They process information only as needed to provide those services. The app may open Virtual Drive pages in a secure in-app browser or your device browser.
Storage and retention
Authentication tokens are stored using the device’s protected storage. Logging out removes the app’s local authentication session. Removing the app clears app-managed local information. Account, course, completion, certificate, transaction, and regulatory records may be retained as required to provide the service and comply with educational, regulatory, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations.
Your choices
You may log out at any time. You may request access, correction, or deletion of eligible account information by emailing contact@vdriveusa.com. Some records may not be eligible for deletion when retention is required by law, regulation, contract, or legitimate security and recordkeeping needs.
Children and teen learners
Virtual Drive provides driver-education services that may be used by eligible teen learners with parent or guardian involvement. The app is not directed to children under 13.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.
