How can i make my car cute?
This blog is dedicated to every driver who was given or earned the gift of a “reliable car.” I’m talking about the car that truly has (and will) get us through the days of school, work, college, and families. We forever appreciate what it has done for us, and still we find ourselves asking the same profound question; “How can i make my car cute?”
We read a few blogs to try and see what others said about how to “make my car classy,” but no one really took the time to deep dive into a more personal expression of car ownership. Although car accessories that are designed for safety are an important part of driving, we wanted to focus on how to feng shui your driving experience. You shouldn’t have to complain about your beautifully rusted, dented, and high mileage ride. You can still have appreciation for that chunk of metal that makes life a lot easier sometimes.
Written by a former “busted” car owner, I give you my list of ways to make your car cute, classy, and original to your own personal style.
1. Cup Holder Coasters!
It’s cheap, it’s easy, it’s washable! You can go with a pattern, quote, or picture that you’ll see every time you get into your car. Stay classy with black and white, or brighten up your drive with bright colors.
2. Seat Covers!
Of course I said it, and YES! They can make your car look cute.
By cute, I mean IT’S A GAME CHANGER. (these are not like the couch cover at your grandma’s house.) I’m a personal fan of bohemian and rustic looks, so I went straight for a vintage truck seat. And if the picture below isn’t enough to convince you, then just start searching. Whether looking to hide the rip in your seat cushion, or simply update the interior, there are an enormous amount of options available.
3. Get Warm Stuff!
Following up the seat covers, I will show you more seat covers….
Faux and repurposed fur steering wheel and seat covers can keep you warmer if you live in a cold climate, and during the winter months. Pack up a few blankets that can be used if you decide to stop and look at the stars, and especially if you get stuck somewhere and need extra help. I can proudly say, I still love making my car cute with adding a few blankets in the back. They’re ALWAYS helpful.
4. Bring your Dog.
There’s not much more i need to say. Bring your pet with you and immediately you and your car get more cute. It’s just fact.
5. Rear View Mirror Plants.
Plants. We love them. Tie one to your rear view mirror and let it get all the sun it needs on your drive to school or work. Succulents work great if you’re looking for a slow growing, small plant.
6. Make your car cute with Pillows!
Throw down some cute pillows on your backseat cushion and you’ve basically got a couch. I love this idea because I can make my car cute with dollar store pillow finds. They always have great crazy options that everyone loves.
7. Personalize your keys.
On the road, or at home, these things stay by your side the entire time. Make or buy something that means a lot to you and that you can use for storage. A purse pocket, or even a cool key hook is a great way to never lose your side-kicks.
Of course there are different ways to stylize your vehicle, but these seven suggestions can get you on road to transforming your car. Make it your own and be proud of the fact that you CAN DRIVE!
Do you an opinion on how to personalize your car?
